This week's top quote:
"Patriotism . . . for rulers is nothing else than a tool for achieving their power-hungry and money-hungry goals, and for the ruled it means renouncing their human dignity, reason, conscience, and slavish submission to those in power. . . . Patriotism is slavery." Leo Tolstoy, Christianity and Patriotism, 1894.
Continuing luck with your MySpace adventures!

oooooooh, sweet!!!
Somebody got the snap of where GG was hit by that stress ball. Good shot, Sir!
Unless it was Derek Randall - remember him? - throwing the stress ball. I'm afraid that the pic is a canny bit of photoshop.
Btw, Kara insists that no one will get my Blue Man Group joke in the post title.
Casting pearls before swines.
Or did the Gills Fan club finally get Paul Scally, our beloved Chairman?

and the good lady is absolutely correct. (happy birthday Kara!) I know I have no effin clue what you're on about :D
Wait up. Is Paul Scally related to the late Malcolm Hardee by any chance?
I guess Scally's charmanship of Gillingham FC has occasionally resembled Hardee famous routine of the three stark bollocked naked blokes with the strategically placed balloons.
I shall have to ask "the Binman", at Brian Moore's Head. They'll probably publish that; and perhaps you an get a few squid if you send that to Lookalike at "Private Eye"!
Things are so bad at the Gills that "the Head" published its first print edition - aka Gills fans going on at Scally and all the wank going on, esp. Scally's business dealings - in two years and might well have another one coming out for the Sw*ndon game this Saturday. (BMH is otherwise electronic these days.)
BTW...I've been downloading the Socialist Thinkers series; part two on Morris doesn't seem to work though
pps. United or Barca tonight?
United or Barca?
I'm guessing 0-0.
I'll check through the Socialist Thinkers series to see if there are any dead links, and if there are I'll replace them.
Please bear with me, though. ;-)
