Passing Thought - Probably Fuck All

I just discovered that the last non Auld Firm player to win the Scottish PFA Players' Player of the Year was Jim Bett way back in 1990!!! That is ridiculous and, as a consequence, this blog will be endorsing a joint package of Craig Gordon and Scott Brown to win the award this year.

Of course, I can be magnaminous like that 'cos the name Aiden McGeady is already engraved on the award for this year.

The weird thing about looking at that list is that Brian Laudrup didn't win it every season. Remember how we used to play them off the pitch every time we played them during his time in govan and then he would just make all the difference. Oh, and the fact that we had Tony Cascarino up front :-))

And I always assumed that McGeady made a conscious decision that he wanted to play for Ireland rather than the SFA and Celtic fucking up his chances of playing for Scotland in a stupid bureaucratic way. Typical SFA and typical Celtic!

Yeah, I heard that McGeady was a 'Plastic Paddy'* as well until I read that entry on wiki. I know I say that McGeady is a shoe in but maybe Gordon will win it this year. That save against Hibs the other week in the dying minutes was absolutely brilliant. Absolute top drawer.

Question is: after the BBC Sports headlines today, you wonder if he won't think his best bet will be just to sod off. Romanov is fucking up a good side, and as a Celtic fan that makes me very happy. ;-)

*I can use the term 'Plastic Paddy', cos it was a PP from Bradford who first told me of the term.

I'm for young Stephen Naismith, after what he and David Fernandez will do to your lot later today!

I'll regret that later, but now its just possible.
