step away from the comment box. This is Paul Weller month, not Rick Parfitt month. (That's pencilled in for February 2011 on the blog.) ;-)
"big wuss"
That;s hard rock in its essence for me. I wonder if Paul and Rick exchanged pleasantries when they did the Band Aid/Live Aid events?
I guess I should have mentioned that Bruce Foxton and Rick Buckler also went to Sheerwater Secondary School, but as this post is about Paul Weller I'm sure they're used to being (unfairly) overlooked.
If I'd thought this through, in retrospect I would never have chosen December as the month to do a Weller tribute.
I was hoping to fall back on the safeguard of 'on this day' type posts- and there are a couple I can still use- but in the main the offerings for the month of December are very meagre.
But since when have 'thought this through' and blogging ever gone hand in hand? Part of the joy of making pish up as you go along.

So did my dad! My dad reckons Rick Parfitt was a big wuss.

I like it, I like it, I like it, I like it, I l- l- l-like it.
Looking forward to 2011!
Noticed that I designated February as a Rick Parfitt month . . . and in a non-leap year?
I think you know what I'm saying.
I know what you're saying: 28 glorious days of non-stop Quo! I'm counting the days...
It's Rick Buckler's birthday the morra Darren -- something to hang a post around for the WEller month.
Will,
cheers for the heads up about Rick Buckler.
