I've never had a problem with Strachan, but fellow Celtic fan at work does make the pertinent point that our boss's big problem is signing so many players who completely failed to become first team regulars. Certainly like those two Irish lads - don't know about the Czech bloke. But what about Donati, Mizuno, Sheridan (ok, he's had one or two games), Riordan (what was that all about?), Gravesen and loads of others whose names escape me in my current hungover state!
You know my opinion about the Riordan business, so I'm not going to retread old ground.
I just want to know what's going on. Has McCourt even had a sniff of a game? The blokes been at Celtic Park for months now and I can't see hide nor hair of him.
I just can't get my head round signing someone for a couple of years who you're never going to properly utilise and the flip side of that, being the player who signs to sit on a bench for three years in what should be the best footballing years of your professional life.
What a waste of what is, for most of them, their greatest talent in life.
Hey, but wait, did you see the game today. Ok, generally we were rubbish, but Mizuno looked the part and he took his goal so well. So let's cheer up and look forward to beating those shits next week!
