A BLOG OUT OF STEP, OUT OF TIME AND OUT OF BREATH.
Wish we had Miller in the side tonight - in fact, so bad were we that I wish we had had Tony Cascarino in the side . . yes, that's how bad we were!
Saw the goals. (Porto/Liverpool was the game on ESPN over here.)Lucarelli's goal was a peach. Commie bastard.
what, what, what? Don't slight the Gills legend that is Cascarino Tony!
Sore one. But Strachan got it wrong with the tactics and wrong punting Kenny Miller.McManus and Boruc aside, Celtic's defence doesnt look up to much either. The weaknesses (both fullbacks and heidthebaw Caldwell) were exposed. Plenty of encouragement to be had for the Hibees come Sunday...
Eh, Darren, that last comment was me. Couldnae resist it.GGTTH
I think I should have viewed the highlights from the Celtic/Caley Thistle game before penning the 'False Dawn' post. It might have been 5-0, but Caley Thistle were unlucky not to score a couple of goals and some of the finishing - hello Mr Geady - was woeful. The 'Bring in Riordan Pronto' campaign is recommencing.
Everything about McGeady is now woeful - actually, embarrassing. He is now definitely my hate figure, being so fucking rubbish and refusing to play for his country. Well, his country really doesn't need him and he is pish, so wouldn't get a game for his country - Ireland (a country of which he knows very little) can have the the little fucking arsehole who gives the ball away all the time!
And yet all the pundits on Scotsport were waxing lyrical about McGeady after the ICT game. Yeah, he looked good going down the line but he missed an absolute sitter late on in the game.MacDonald looked industrious and all that jazz, but I just wish Riordan would get a decent chance before he's shunted off to West Brom or Coventry three months from now.
Gray,I take it you know the joke about Terry Waite and Tony Cascarino?
