I really liked "the Last Man on Earth" with Vincent Price (from 1964). Well worth checking out and comparing, naturally, with this and the Will Smith "I Am Legend" film.
I love the idea of the film but Omega Man was rather clunky. The direction seemed so so, and I've never been the greatest fan of Heston. (Nothing to do with his politics, btw.)
Have you see Solyent Green? I do want to check that out when I get the chance.
