Punt Up Pompey

A shoe in for goal of the season?

However, I still think that this peach of a goal by Patrik Berger from a few years back is the best goal scored by a Portsmouth player in recent years.

ADDENDUM

I have to state for the record that any other weekend I would be raving about Essien's wonder strike against Arsenal, but that's the breaks.

Wow, man, what a corker. If only he didn't play for Portsmouth. Yes, I know, what a weird choice for one of my hate teams but I can't stand Harry Redknapp, so anything associated with him I detest!

You don't like Harry Redknapp?

Christ, that's the olden day equivalent of saying that you don't like the Queen Mum. What's up with Harry?

I have a soft spot for Portsmouth for the simple reason of the surname of their midfielder who comes from your neck of the woods in 'sarf luhndun'. He even has the correct spelling. ;-)

seeing these goals reminds me of the frustrations we have at Priestfield.

We scream: "SHOOOOOT!" but do the Gills do that? Oh no...They want to walk the ball into the net!

Redknapp is a money-grabbing arsehole. And I hate all that faux jack-the-lad shit. Journalists really like him - nuff said.
