Warning to the Saturday Kids: Don't look yourself up on blogsearch. It can cause heartache

I really didn't think through the ramifications of my going into light blogging mode for the month of December.

If I'd known he was going to take the discontinuation of the blog's PaulWellerMonth so badly, I wouldn't have let the posts fester in draft.

Luckily a young lady was on hand to help Paul find the beach under the pavement.

More on Paul Weller's 'When in Prague, do as Jaroslav Hašek would have done' moment via the Daily Mail getting all snotty and moralising on pages 1,3,4 & 7.

A quote to go with the picture?

"Hello Darling, I'm home again; Covered in shit and aches and pains..."

("Who is the 5 o'clock hero" by The Jam)

Damn, I wish I'd thought of that. ;-)

Now that I think about it, I bet the Daily Mail wished they'd thought of it as well. Can't be helped. What with all The Jam fans working at Conservative Central Office nowadays, I guess the inkies don't have someone in place with the Paul Weller lyric book to hand.

Saying that, it is understandably a big news story. 50 year old British bloke on the piss in Prague on a New Years Eve? I'm guessing that's a first on all three counts.

love that. And love this comment from one of those mindless idiot Daily Mail readers even more:

"I suppose he had his 15 minutes of fame with the Jam, but as a soloist he is completely talentless."

So that explains his absence from this year's Joools Hollands Hootanany.

Funny thing is that the bloke who left that comment used to be the leader singer of The Purple Hearts.

Old grievances never die.
