I was going to write a comment vociferously defending Edinburgh's public transport system but then remembered a few things. Things like the third fare hike in two years (apparently costs are rising despite the price of oil falling) and the fact that we're being forced to endure the construction of a single tram line through the city centre which will bring no tangible benefit to the city but is costing us an obscene amount in terms of money and inconvenience.
Brooker tends to be on the money when it comes to most subjects, should have known better than to doubt him :)
