Would you believe that as an English lad growing up in Edinburgh I idolised Oor Wullie, thanks to my Dad's (from Dundee) side of the family. To the extent that I had dungarees and a bucket. And a Home Counties accent. Sweet.
Well, I was a Scottish lad who idolised Oor Wullie in the Home Counties, so there's a symmetry there of sorts. ;-)
I stopped short of the dungarees, though.
