H'Elland Road

You can't get the novel in the States so I'll just have to wait for the film . . . and then, of course, the book will be published in the States as a movie tie in. That figures.

After playing Tony Blair twice - on both the small screen and the big screen - Michael Sheen's just happy that he finally got to play the part of a Labour Party supporter.

Btw, any chance of Denise Mina working on the follow up to Peace's book, 'Jock Stein - was it 44 or 45 days?'?

Addendum

Impossibilist Bill penned a review of the novel on his blog a couple of years back. Jump over to see what I'm havering on about.

JC,

Cheers for the very generous offer but I've got so many books on my 'to read list' that I'll have to politely decline.

I will get round to reading it but - literary snobs look away now, please - what I intend to do is see the film when it gets released and then read the novel. I know such an admission will get my Reader's Digest subscription revoked but I think in this instance I'll go down that book versus film route.

And the film has to be shown in New York if nowhere else in the United States. I'll just to put 'Old Big 'Ead' on google alert.

Thanks again.

PS - I'll definitely be looking out for Luke Haines's book.

I knew it would be a cracker even before I read your excellent review.
